Our Story

More than two and a half years ago, our prison ministry began with a simple daily prayer. Every morning, Jerry would ask God, “What do You want me to know, and what do You want me to do?” One day, the answer was clear: Go to the prisons.

At first, the calling felt overwhelming. With a business to run and responsibilities at home, we wondered how it could be possible. For six months, we prayed, sought God’s direction, and waited for confirmation. That confirmation came through a conversation with a church member, John Griffin, who asked if we had ever considered prison ministry and shared how impactful he believed we could be in that environment. In that moment, we knew God was opening a door we were meant to walk through.

From our very first prison service, we witnessed God’s power in extraordinary ways. Twenty-two men were baptized that day, and we experienced a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit. What began as a single step of obedience has grown into a ministry dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and the Gospel to incarcerated men.

Today, we lead Bible studies, teach faith-based classes, facilitate Breaking the Chains, Celebrate Recovery, and Anger Management programs, and build ongoing relationships with men seeking transformation through Christ. We currently serve as CVCA volunteers at the Ramsey I Unit in Rosharon, Texas, and are working toward expanding our service to the Byrd Unit in Huntsville, Texas.

Over the years, we have had the privilege of witnessing hundreds of lives changed by the love of Jesus Christ. We have seen men find freedom from addiction, restore their faith, discover their God-given purpose, and experience genuine transformation. By God’s grace, we have baptized approximately 250 men and continue to watch Him work in remarkable ways behind prison walls.

Our mission is simple: to bring the hope of Christ to those who may feel forgotten, reminding every person that no one is beyond God’s love, redemption, and purpose.
